Privacy notice · Effective August 4, 2026

How SmokeOps handles your information.

This Privacy Notice explains what information SmokeOps may collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to people who visit our website or use our services.

Who this Notice covers

This Notice applies to the SmokeOps website, demo requests, customer accounts, business workspaces, support, billing, and related services. It does not replace the privacy notices or policies of a customer's own business or of other services a customer may choose to use.

A business customer decides who may use its workspace and what store information is entered. SmokeOps handles that business information to provide the service, follow the customer's instructions, protect the service, and meet legal obligations.

Information collected

We may collect information you give us directly, information created when the service is used, and information received from services a customer chooses to connect or upload.

  • Contact and account information, such as names, email addresses, usernames, business names, roles, and location access.
  • Business operations information, such as products, barcodes, inventory counts, receiving records, damage records, transfers, adjustments, supplier information, and order decisions.
  • Optional sales and reporting information submitted by a customer, such as transaction details, product information, quantities, prices, discounts, and employee labels.
  • Billing, support, and communication information, including plan, invoice and payment status, support requests, and messages.
  • Basic service and security information, such as device and browser information, approximate location, dates and times of access, error reports, and activity records.

Please do not enter full payment-card information, passwords, private access codes, government identification numbers, health information, or other information that is not needed to use SmokeOps.

How we use information

We use information to provide, maintain, secure, support, and improve SmokeOps. This includes operating accounts, recording inventory activity, providing reports and recommendations, responding to questions, processing billing, preventing misuse, and complying with legal obligations.

Product and barcode information may be used in an aggregated form to improve product matching across participating businesses. This does not give one retailer access to another retailer's inventory, transactions, employees, or customer records.

How information is shared

SmokeOps does not sell business operational information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate, secure, support, bill for, or improve the service. They may use information only as needed to provide services to us and as required by law.

We may also share information with authorized users of the same customer organization, at a customer's direction, in connection with a business transaction, or when needed to comply with law, respond to legal process, protect people or property, prevent fraud, or enforce our agreements.

Retention and deletion

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain business records and audit history, resolve disputes, protect the service, and meet legal or contractual obligations. Retention periods vary by the type of information and the customer's relationship with SmokeOps.

Account owners may request deletion of an account or business data by contacting us. We may keep limited information when reasonably needed for billing, security, fraud prevention, legal claims, required recordkeeping, or the integrity of backups and audit records.

Demonstration workspaces use sample data, are temporary, and are not intended for real store operations. Contact information provided to request a demonstration may be kept for follow-up, security, and privacy-request handling unless deletion is requested or it is no longer needed.

Your choices and privacy requests

Users may ask their business account owner to correct account, permission, or store information. Website visitors, billing contacts, and other individuals may contact SmokeOps to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable law.

We may need to verify identity and authority before acting on a request. Requests about information controlled by a customer business may be referred to that business. We will not discriminate against a person for exercising a privacy right available under applicable law.

Children, international use, and updates

SmokeOps is a business service and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Information may be handled in locations where SmokeOps and its service providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards.

We may update this Notice as our service, practices, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. When appropriate, we will provide notice of material changes.
